Today it’s once again about our “Ask Ingrid!” app. In this app, you can enter your intolerances and food is then filtered according to compatibility. There is also a community rating. Over 100,000 reviews from those affected are now included here. As a person affected, you can see how many users with the same intolerances tolerate this food well or badly.
What you earn with apps
In January 2022, I did a podcast about mobile apps and also talked about how much work such an app is, how much it costs financially to program such an app and how little money you earn with it. To be precise: no money earned. This is of course a problem, because such apps have to be developed further and this requires financial resources.
Some app developers collect user data and sell it. We don’t do that. Therefore, there has been no so-called monetization of “Ask Ingrid” so far. The project was always on the brink of collapse.
We then conducted a survey on Facebook and asked you how much you would be willing to spend on this app. Thanks for all the positive responses there. We were also able to develop a subscription model from these answers, which is currently being programmed. There will be a monthly subscription and an annual subscription.
But don’t worry: everything remains the same for all existing users with a subscription!
