The continuous development of our food database
For over two decades, we have invested not only hours of work and our extensive knowledge, but also personal commitment and continuous research into our website nmi-Portal and our app “Ask Ingrid”. Our aim is to always provide you with up-to-date and reliable information to support you with your individual needs when dealing with food intolerances.
Food database for intolerances
Over the past few months, we have been working intensively on expanding and updating our unique food database. We are constantly scouring current studies on ingredients and tolerability, commissioning measurements and receiving measurement data from companies about their products. All this information flows into our extensive and secret work database, which is used exclusively internally.
Specific questions arising from this data are often put directly to our nmi community . We can further refine and improve the data by conducting surveys among those affected regarding tolerances. The result of this extensive work is the tried-and-tested traffic light system that you can find in our “Ask Ingrid” app, as well as the regular updates to our food database.
Current updates to the database
Recently, for example, we updated some values for fructose, sorbitol and histamine, but there were no major changes. We have also expanded the “Oils and fats” category and differentiated the various types of oils even more precisely.
We would like to emphasize that our lists are not absolute certainties, but serve as an aid to making informed decisions. As everyone reacts individually to food, we have also integrated the innovative and unique community rating function into our app. There you can see how other people with the same intolerances tolerate certain products.
Your satisfaction and well-being are important to us, and we are constantly on the ball with research and personal commitment to offer you the best possible support. Thank you for your trust and support along the way!
